This is one of those songs that just evolved and involved in involves. I kept hearing it in my head don’t want to annoy you don’t want to annoy you. I’m not even really sure where that line came from. I think it just means being polite when you’re being escorted out of a relationship so I guess maintaining your pride? At any rate I recorded this song many ways the first way was just on a nylon string acoustic guitar very minimal vocals and it was the video as a walk-through Newport Beach. Incidentally, a lot of Balboa Beach in Newport Beach areas, as well as Laguna Beach and Carlsbad, and all along the coastline at the end of the continent here in California the beaches are all being destroyed because of climate change.
